I’m Not Racist But….

I came across a website called http://www.sleeplessinaustin.com/

This man is committed and taking the time to create a site in his quest to find the one. (Note to self – you should try this.) He starts off by saying:

I am willing to pay anyone $1,500 as a finders fee for anyone that can help find me a girlfriend. (I will give you a extra $1,000 as a bonus if this turns into marriage, I offer this extra bonus as I hope it will motivate you to find me a woman of great quality)

I have been in Austin over 3 years now and have not been successful at finding a girl that wants a long term relationship in all this time, so I would like to enlist the readers here in my search, and I will pay anyone $1,500 if you can actually make this happen.

I am 39 years old, (date of birth is 9-18-1974 so that makes me a Virgo) 6′,4″ and 195lbs. I live in South Austin. I am looking for a girl that has a thin or athletic build. No one over 130lbs. Ages 21 – 41 White, Hispanic, or of European descent.

Sounds good so far, right? Okay. Then it goes all downhill from here (note that he has since taken out this portion of his posting and the most offensive parts have been bolded):

I will not date a Black girl. I don’t care if she looks like Halle Berry, I will not ever date a Black girl.

However, I will date any other race, Hispanic, Mexican, Spanish, Russian, Italian, French, European, White, whatever, anything except Black.


I am not a racist person. In fact I tend to get along much better with Black guys than I do White guys.

However, I do not like Rap or Hip Hop music. I do not even consider that to be real music. And I do not like Black people that listen to that kind of music. I do not like Black people that have a criminal record or smoke pot or do any other type of drugs. I do not like Black people that live in the “projects” or live off welfare or food stamps. I do not like Black people that do not have a full time job. I do not like Black people that wear their pants halfway down to their knees. And I do not like Black people that don’t speak proper English and pronounce their words correctly. I do not like Black people that dress like thugs or gangstas. I do not like uneducated Black People. And if you are a Black person that lives in East Austin or up North Austin around the Rundberg area then chances are I probably don’t like you either! So there! haha!!!!!

I am NOT racist. I just do NOT like ignorant, useless, TRASH.

I also don’t like White people that do those same types of things!

And, I do not believe that Whites & Blacks should mix races sexually and have kids together.

I think it’s ok for Whites & Hispanics. But not Blacks.

I would NEVER, EVER, EVER date a woman if I found out she had EVER been sexually active with a Black man.

Honestly, the whole thing should have been bolded. Way to paint all black women with one ignorant brush. So it’s ok to be friends with black men but not date black women? Preference is preference and I will not fault you for being attracted to a certain race or ethnicity. However, if you have to convince your readers that you are not racist and repeat it several times, chances are you are a racist sir! I will let you, the reader, decide.

"Make Me a Sandwich Woman!" Said Alexander Skarsgard

There’s been a whole lot of hoopla about the site 300sandwiches.com. Gorgeous girl learning how to make a sandwich for her man…

…or so I thought. She supposedly wakes up each morning to the following conversation with her boyfriend, Eric:

“Honey, how long you have been awake?” Eric asks

“About 15 minutes,” she’d reply

“You’ve been up for 15 minutes and you haven’t made me a sandwich?”

Now before I get a bunch of hate mail, let me state that there’s nothing wrong with cooking for your man. The thing that irks me is tone and delivery – watch your tone and delivery. However, the first thing that convinced me that the girl might be delusional is the fact that she thought her man looked like the tall glass of thirst-quenching water that is Alexander Skarsgard. The second thing I thought was “Isn’t this man gay?” The pictures do not help either.

She has set him up to look like an asshole if he does not propose to her. The lengths some women will go through to get a ring. Girl, at least you’ve learned how to cook…a sandwich.

I'm Baaaaaack!

Sorry for the extended hiatus. I had to leave my favorite world and work on getting an accounting designation. Now that I'm done, I can get back to doing what I love most.

So much has happened in the past two years. But instead of rehashing those incidents, I will restart this blog with events going forward. I look forward to reading your comments and taking your suggestions.

What Dreams May Come

Last night I had a dream about a guy. And as my dreams about men go, it was fucked up! Thursday night, in the midst of my delusion, I sent Paul Walker a tweet. Then last night, I had a dream that featured him and Vin Diesel. We happen to meet at a swanky party. Conversation was awesome and it felt like Paul and I connected. Next thing I know, he and Vin are walking away. In a moment of panic, I yell out "Paul, where are you going?!" He doesn't look back. I yell out again, "Wait for me!" I start to ran after him. At this point, he has somehow changed into his swimming trunks. He then tells me, "Look, I'm off to the beach. If you want to join me, you'll have to take care of my cat as I surf." A couple of things run through my mind. First, AWESOME! Paul is taking me to his apartment! Second, wait, um, I'm scared of pets; especially cats. But what is a girl to do when her crush is right in front of her. I decide to come clean. I start to tell him I'm scared but out comes the cat. Or so I thought. Paul's pet is a raccoon - if I want to spend time with him, I need to take care of the raccoon. But I want Paul, I want Paul sooo bad. I bend down to pick up the raccoon and BOOM, I wake up!

Now, I know this dream probably means I'm pursuing a difficult goal. But reality is, Paul never replied to my tweet, the hunky-blue-eyed-make-me-wanna-do-something-real-bad-to-you is not checking for me. Lastly, Fast Five is the closest I'm getting owning those lips.

Sidenote: thank you little brother for the 3am texts about the movie. My lack of sleep sure does appreciate it!

I have a love/hate relationship with Beyonce. I love her choreography, she tries to do too much with her voice, her songs are hit or miss with me. Below is a "leak" off her upcoming album. This is a classic example of being all over the place, sampling a hot riddim too late, and trying too hard lyrically - I think I need a barber, none of these bitches fade me. Is Britney Officially Back?

I have a confession, I liked Britney Spears Blackout cd; Circus was kryptonite to me. I was not really excited about her new cd, Femme Fatale after all, I'm not much of a fan. I just loved her choreography. I heard she was performing at Rain nightclub in Las Vegas last night. I woke up this morning and decided to see what youtube has. I am impressed by her performance of 'Til The World Ends; are you?

RIP Nate Dogg - King of Hooks

What a sad day in hip hop it is today. Nate Dogg has died at the age of 41 after suffering two previous strokes. When I heard Dr. Dre's Kush, I remember thinking how nice it would have been if Nate could have been featured more on the track instead of Akon. I want to share with you some of his collaborations that I really love. They are many but these I always loved. Don't expect to find Regulate, Area Codes or The Next Episode on this list. I love some of his work that was not necessarily mainstream. Thank you for leaving behind such a great soundtrack.
